Provides overall leadership for the club, guiding the executive, supporting volunteers and coaches and ensuring the organization runs smoothly while promoting a positive skating environment for all members.
Leadership & Governance

Provides overall leadership and direction for the skating club

Chairs Executive meetings, Annual General Meetings and any Special Meetings needed through the season

Ensures the club follows its constitution, bylaws and policies

Works with the Executive to set goals, priorities and strategic direction

Works with the town to secure regular ice times, additional requests for ice and signing of ice contract

Overseas committees and ensures they are functioning effectively
Liaison & Representation

Acts as a main representative of the club with Skate Canada and other regional sections

Serves as a primary contact for community partners

Represents or nominates a club representative for the club for regional meetings or skating events
Executive & Volunteer Management

Supports and guides Executive members and volunteers

Ensures roles and responsibilities are clear within the Executive
Program Oversight

Works with Coaching staff to ensure quality skating programs

Helps ensure a safe and positive environment for skaters
Financial Oversight

Works with Treasure to monitor club’s financial health

Review and approves budgets and major expenses

Supports fundraising and other sponsored club events
Communication

Keeps the Executive informed and ensures clear communication between executive, coaches and members

Helps address member questions or concerns when escalated
