Why Sign Up for PreCan?
Precschool Canskate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program that is geared to beginners between the ages of 3-5 years, and must be potty trained. This program emphasizes positive learning through fun and play.
When you/your child registers for a PreCanSkate program at your local Skate Canada club, you also become a member of Skate Canada, the national sport governing body for figure skating in Canada. Membership benefits in the PreCanSkate program can include:
- badges
- stickers
- coloring sheets
- parent information sheets
- progress updates and report cards
- PreCanSkate end of year awards
What Can I Expect During a Session?
Your child's PreCanskate session will include:
- Warm-up
- Lesson time including new skill instruction, skill review, and practice time
- Group activities
- Cool down
Certificates and earned badges are issued on the last day of the session
